Your CV and your details
In plain terms: what we collect when you apply, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and how to get it removed.
What we collect
When you apply for a role we collect your name, email address, phone number, the town you are based in, and the CV you upload. If you write a covering note, we keep that too.
We also record which roles you applied for and when, so we can tell you where an application has got to.
What we do with it
We read your CV so we can match you against the role you applied for, and against roles that come up later. That matching is how we find you work you did not have to search for.
When we put you forward to an employer, we send a version of your CV with your contact details removed. The employer receives your details only once you have been told and the introduction is being made.
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone other than an employer we are putting you forward to.
How long we keep it
We keep your CV for three years from your last contact with us, because a good match often comes up long after the role you first applied for. After that we delete it.
If you apply again or reply to us, the three years starts again from that point.
Asking us to remove it
You can ask us to delete your CV and details at any time, and you do not have to give a reason. Email us and we will confirm once it is done.
You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
How it is stored
CVs and personal details are held in access controlled systems. Only JobLink staff can reach them, and every sign in is recorded.
